Watching Fox News

A few days ago I decided that I would watch Fox News. And I did, for one hour. Since then, every now and again I’ll turn to Fox to see what they’re saying. It’s just crazy how obviously biased their news is. But what scares me the most is their ability to convince. With such one-sided news, it’s apparent that viewers who just accept the news, without being skeptical, can be easily persuaded. But what’s even scarier is that I actually started becoming convinced and favoring on the side of Fox. Of all the programs on Fox, I’m telling you, Glen Beck is the most outrageously convincing person ever.  With his fact-filled blackboard, ‘historical lessons’, and tear-eyed speeches, it’s not wonder that so many Americans follow him and Fox like a cult.

It’s just scary how much control the media has and how they can influence an entire country. Fortunately for me, I’ve had the luxury of an education where I’ve always had teachers that have taught me to be logical and think critically.
